Risk factors associated with retinopathy of prematurity

Background: Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is an important cause preventable blindness in children. It a serious and underestimated complication treatment among preterm low-birth weight babies unless recognized treated early. Objective: Evaluate the different neonatal risk factors for Prematurity. Materials Methods: A ROP prospective screening survey was performed enrolling all premature low-birth-weight Neonates delivered at Index Medical College Hospital & Research Centre from July 2018 to June 2021, with gestational age 37 weeks or less birth 1700 g less. One Hundred Eighty Six (186) infants (i.e.372 eyes) were included screening. Out these 186 (372eyes), Forty eight (48) (i.e.96 developed Descriptive statistics mean standard deviation numerical variables, percentage categories categorical variables.
